This week we prepare ourselves for the 1999 version of the classic poem with Christopher Lambert as the title character. When interviewed about filming Beowulf, Rhona Mitra admitted that everybody had told her not to do the film and it would be a nightmare and had said it was a nightmare and Romania was a hell-hole.

Mad Max, Mortal Kombat, Xena: Warrior Princess and Van Helsing are considered major influences behind the film.
